Pól
Pól
For as far back as she can remember, music has always played a significant role in her life. It first began with singing in the church choir, then learning to play the guitar, writing poems and songs during her teenage days, and later on performing at various live venues, covering songs by her favorite artists.
She returned to songwriting in 2017, and the concept behind Pól took shape in 2018, amidst a breakup and multiple trips to NYC, California, Prague, and Barcelona. These cities, which inspire her, become a canvas where emotions manifest through words and melodies. A universe within her mind comes to life in ethereal aesthetics, akin to a wildflower swaying in the wind amidst the bustling traffic of bustling cities.
Pól embodies the essence of a modern dreamer. Finding ecstasy in the beauty of nature, she captures fleeting clouds, the charm of old vintage buildings, doors, and windows. She traces beauty in her daily rhythm, humming melodies that later find their home in her intimate music space, where piano notes give life to vanishing harmonies.
Her debut EP, titled "In My Lonesomeness," emerged in June 2019. She graced the stage to perform the entire record during its release, captivating an enthusiastic audience at Citerne – Beirut. To promote the EP nationwide, she participated in various music festivals during the summer of 2019, including Fête De La Musique and Sofar Sounds Beirut. Her talent even reached the French chapter of Sofar in Paris at Quai de Valmy in October 2019. In the midst of these achievements, her critically acclaimed single "Free" was unleashed. Her debut EP's successful journey culminated with a performance at the Beirut and Beyond International Music Festival in February 2020.
An evolved version of Pól emerged in December 2020 with the launch of "My Fortress," paving the way for a change of creative direction in her sophomore EP, "Of Pacts & Confinements."
Embarking on new journeys in various cities remains an integral part of her narrative, continuing into the year 2022. She was chosen for the Institut Français NAFAS program’s 6-week residency in Spring 2022 at the enchanting and inspirational Les Arts Florissants residence in Thiré, France. There, she began crafting her baroque-pop album.
Furthermore, she graced the stage at the FIMU festival in Belfort, France, in June 2022. Shortly thereafter, the raw authenticity of "First of July" was brought to life and is now available for streaming on all digital platforms.
Step into her world, join her on this journey, and revel in the experience.
