They met in 2022 and started working on the project. Falafel/Anthony is a Lebanese migrant in Barcelona, they create the content of BLAST, based on their corporal, mental and emotional process dealing with their PTSD facing bomb sounds and denouncing the eurocentric colonial perspectives that exoticise Arabs and feminised identities.

BLAST is targetting different kinds of spaces with different formats, for clubs and festivals but also contemporary art spaces and politicised queer BIPOC collectives. It is becoming one of the few references for queer Arabs and migrants and is promoting a discourse of empowerment, vindication and intersectionality.
